Kobra PPG is a new company whose aim is to develop and encourage the manufacture of 4-strokes engines applied to paramotoring, giving great importance to R+D and not driven by sales interest. The original idea of introducing a 4-strokes engine in a paramotor belongs to an English “mastermind" and it might revolutionize the world of paramotoring. We believe this is the future of our sport and we, therefore, must work in it before the European regulations about noise and pollution turns our gears off. My interest to contribute with new ideas to the world of paramotor was born in me after several years dedicated with passion to paraglider and paramotor flying, after noticing how dependant is paramotor development on other technological activities, and how slow are the improvements in this field. Common sense would tell that the main promotion for such improvements should come primarily from the paramotor makes, but reality shows that the lack of resources, investments and interest, has restrained the development of this activity. Spain has many advantages to become a world leader in this field, like geographical situation, low costs and top level PPG pilots. Thanks to the support offered by two Spanish manufacturers of paramotors and following the world trend to incorporate 4-strokes engines in other activities, we will try to start a technological development applied to powered paragliding.
